Name: ...
Character name: Gaius Erinard
Role: Peasant
Sex/gender: Male
Species: Human
Age:25
Looks: Rather short, 5 foot 8 man who has blond hair. Sharp cheekbones. Brown eyes. Pale skin. Calloused hands. Five o'clock shadow. Crooked nose from being broken
Personality: He's a rather mischievous man with a tendency to get into fights he cannot win. He picks a fight with most people on purpose, but the occasional person he likes and picks fights with whoever he thinks is bugging that person even if they actually aren't.
History: Gaius had two brothers, one became a merchant and left as soon as he could and has not been heard of since. The other was a hunter that went into the forest and did not return, Gaius suspects that he was murdered but there is no evidence. Gaius himself works as a leatherworker.

Character name: Keldrim
Role: Villain
Sex/gender: Male
Species: Half-Fiend
Age: 27
Looks: He has slightly brown skin (Like a bugbear) that has a few scales on the arms and chest. Black ram horns come out from his head. Glowing red eyes. Black hair that goes down to shoulders, rather uncut. Five o'clock shadow. Fangs. Claws. Bat wings same color as him. Tends to wear black robes with dark purple details.
Personality: Sadistic, calculating, evil. He goes out of his way to kill as many people as he possible can without disrupting the plans of his master or drawing too much attention. He likes to appear charming to people he is not currently killing, as if he was brought up well and was incredibly rich, the latter he is, the first he is not.
History: As a half fiend he was not able to grow up in a normal society and instead found himself a small destroyed hamlet in the borders of two kingdoms at war. While there he discovered inborn dark powers that he used to hunt, and protect himself with. When he was old enough (20) he went traveling and found himself a master to serve under, and has been with him ever since, plotting on how to rise past him
(Note: He is a warlock. He can fire multiple beams of dark energy at people with a chosen effect from here. Most often this gives off a magical aura of fear, but occasionally he will make the beams explode into fire, he cannot do both at once.)

Revolt of the Dawn Empty Re: Revolt of the Dawn

Post  Ryory4 Fri Nov 14, 2014 7:03 pm

Mortas stood at top of castle wall, looking down at the village of Yore below. Such simple peasant, serving under him, bringing him riches, supplying him with life and eventually dying. Rain fell down around him, splattering along the stones around him. Thunder rolled overhead, lightning flickering down into the Dreadwood, illuminating the trees and the forest surrounding Yore. The sun had set, the land slowly descending into the grip of shadows. He would be hunting soon. The light finally faded, leaving the surrounding landscape in darkness.
He smiled, knowing it was time to hunt. Mortas stepped up outer edge of the battlements, nothing stopping him from falling the hundred feet down to the earth below. And with that he jumped, spreading his black cape wide, catching the air. From below you could see a dark figure falling from above, ready to smash into the earth gruesomely. Yet it never did, just a cloud of bats flying into the dark night, lost in the falling rain.

Pain and pleasure... Valencio thought as he sliced into the side of the neck of a women beneath him. Is something humans enjoy to be mixed far too much. His fingers were covered in her blood and he sucked on them, savoring the bitter metallic taste of the blood. The woman, made no more sounds, this had been exhausted from her. She was dead, as all foolish humans end up after Valencio is finished with them. He moved his body away from the women's body and he laid out on the bed, his black tail swishing. The appeal of sex is so great for humans that they give themselves up to anyone who will provide the best time and Valencio has that guaranteed. Valencio was exhausted and almost fell asleep on the pillows when there was a knock on his door. He quickly pulled the sheets up to cover himself as he morphed back into his half-human form.
"Come in." Valencio called and the door opened, revealing his butler Jean.
"I'm sorry to disturb you but it seems another woman has requested you." The butler explained. Valencio sighed and laid back.
"Tell her I left for the night and won't be back until tomorrow." Valencio ordered and Jean nodded his head.
"Of course, it will be done." Jean then left the room and Valencio let out another sigh. One woman per night was enough for him usually and tonight was no different. So he laid back in the large bed, eyeing the corpse of the woman. He forgot to ask Jean to remove the body again. Whatever, Valencio thought, if I get hungry I have something to eat. He then quickly fell to sleep.

Keldrim looked up at the falling rain, and smiled. Dark, rainy nights were the best. He walked a few meters and peeked out of the alley. As suspected everyone was inside. He picked up a brick off the street at hurled it hard at a doorway across the street, and quickly went back into the shadows. A man opened the door, looking angry, and looked around. Keldrim summoned the noise of a group of boys chuckling in the alley and retreated further inside. Like a good puppet the man continued inside. Keldrim baited the man farther into the alley until he was at the optimal point. Keldrim emerged from he shadows and extended his hand, palm out. The man recoiled in horror and was about to scream when a beam made of shadows shot from his hand and hit the man in the chest, tearing a hole the size of a bucket. Keldrim smiled and kneeled next to the body, searching the corpse for something to keep as a souvenir. He came up victorious with a necklace, and then left the body as it was, going back to the caste. Very Happy

Damien sat in the tavern on the cold night, cradling his drink between his hands as he sat by the fire. It was a stormy night outside, Damien decided to visit the pub this one occasion. The fall harvest had ended and his family had some money to spare. His mother had given him some, saying to go have fun with it. This had been quite a shock to Damien, having some money for fun.
CRASH!
A brick came flying through the window of the door, sending glass everywhere. People stopped there conversation for a moment, just staring at the wet stone. The bartender rose from behind the counter, going over and picking it, muttering curses that the town priest wouldn't like. He grabbed it, opening the door and walking out into the night.
Damien went back to his drink, not carrying about the activities of the town youth. He didn't have time for that anymore, running the farm while looking for someone to marry. It was just another night in the small village of Yore.

Gaius exited his shop to visit the bar. Outside it was pouring, so he pulled his hood up. He had made it a few weeks ago and still smelled a bit, but it was warm, and it was water resistance, keeping the rain off him. A crash emanated from around the corner, followed by a door slamming and chuckling coming from the alley. Gaius ignored it and rounded the corner, and walked into the bar. The bartender was missing, so he guessed that the bartender was the one that left. He wouldn't be long so Gaius sat down at the bar and looked around. He noticed Damien sitting and having a nice drink so Gaius moved next to him, avoiding the looks of all the people he fought, which is to say just about everyone. He sat down next to Damien and said, "Hey, how was the harvest?"

Damien looked up as Gaius sat down next to him. He took a sip of his drink as Gaius spoke.
"How was the harvest?" He asked. Gaius was a tanner, so he usually asked about the farm when the two of them spoke.
"Good, mother gave me some extra money." He replied, looking at the door with the hole in it. Damien didn't like it, the hole was letting in a cold draft. "You?"

Gaius followed Damien's gaze to the door, just noticing the hole in it. How did he miss that. He chuckled a little and wondered what happened. "Oh, still smells terrible but its part of the job. Just finished a few gloves. Would you be interested in buying a pair?" He asked. Sometimes asking people if they wanted to buy something got you lucky. He tried to do it as often as he could

"Perhaps." Damien replied, taking another sip. "I might need to save the money thought."
"Oh, why?" Gaius asked.
"Mother is saying I need a wife soon." Damien said, taking a deep breath. "And so I've been thinking about asking Marie."
Marie was a girl he had known since he was a boy, the two of them almost growing up. She lived near his farm, right at the edge of town. Marie worked to make cloth with her mother. However her mother also served as Yore's medicine woman. Recent he had recently noticed Marie more, realizing how pretty she had become.
It felt good to finally tell someone about it, this had been a secret he had been harboring for a while.

Character name: Marie Viadil
Role: Peasant
Sex/gender: Female
Species: Human
Age: 16
Looks: Marie has long dirty blond straight hair that she usually lets flow free. She wears peasant dresses, much like what the ladies in skyrim wear. Marie has brow hazel eyes and is 5' 9".
Personality: Marie has a tough life, like most people in Yore. She is usually accepting of the facts, thinking most can't be changed. Marie tries to be happy when she can, to counter the bad parts of life.
History: Marie has grown up in Yore, making cloth with her mother. She never had a father, her mother won't talk about it very much. Says he was tall and handsome, Marie doesn't care very much. In her life Marie had a single younger brother who died when he was young to disease. Other than that she has been living her life. As she has grown older Marie began to wonder how they got so much money through only cloth, it seems kind of odd for the good amount of money they make. Her mom keeps it, saying they might it need for something in the future.

Gaius was a little surprised to say the least that Damien was going to ask Marie. she was a nice girl, pretty, a little common. "Nice" Gaius congratulated, "Am I invited to the wedding? I promise not to get too drunk," Gaius lied with a smile.

"Gaius. She hasn't even accepted." Damien replied with a chuckle. His heart was racing, hoping she would say yes to this. "But I'll invite you."
"Thanks."

Mortas flew over the village, looking for somewhere or someone on this stormy night. Below he saw a strong man walking down the street, headed for the town's tavern. Mortas knew he could easily take this man, however he wasn't feeling like it. Some nights Mortas just came down to the village, ignoring his thirst for the blood of the people. He appeared on sign post above the door to one of the houses.
Mortas perched there, just watching the village. In the distance he heard the sound of a crashing window, followed by glass breaking. He contemplated going to investigate, however he was happy on his perch. Below a door was suddenly flung open, flooding light into the street. A young woman stormed out onto the street, walking down the street, nothing to protect her from the rain. If Mortas's heart had still worked it would have been fluttering right now. She was the most graceful woman he had seen in all his immortal life, he must have her. He hopped down to the road, moving towards her silently. By now the rain had began to soak her dress, she might get sick and die. Mortas couldn't have that. Silent as a cat he moved up next to her, removing his cape and draping it over her shoulders. She looked up surprise, trying to see who had done this. Mortas watched, standing on the peak of the roof. It was time the baron of Yore got married.

Gaius almost hopped up and down in exciment clapping his hands. Almost. He managed to restrict himself only to a smile and a pat on the back for Damien, "Thank you. Hopefully it works out. Now I have to think of what the wedding present will be... Gloves or cloaks?" He asked no one in particular, deep in thought.

Revolt of the Dawn Empty Re: Revolt of the Dawn

Post  Ryory4 Sat Nov 15, 2014 12:26 am

Marie was fed up with her mother. It wasn't something that happened often, she usually accepted life as it was and moved on. Yet this time she had gone to far. It had all started that afternoon when Marie had come home with the money from selling the cloth. It hadn't been much, Marie had wondered how her mother had so much money. She had asked her mother, however like usual she had ignored Marie.
Knowing she wouldn't speak of it more she went upstairs, happy for some time alone before dinner. Her room was dark, the only light coming from the window and a small candle. It wasn't much of a room actually, it was one corner of the roof area, her bed tucked in one corner next to her dresser. She had lain down on the bed, just thinking. It wasn't something she got to do much, just sit and think. Marie thought of the future, of children and husband. She knew it would be coming fast, someone would marry her soon. She just hoped it would be Damien. The two of them had grown  up together, their houses relatively near one another. Yet as the years had flown by she had sensed the two of them becoming more than just friends. She hoped he would act on it. Thinking about this she felt warm, perhaps it was the emotion of thinking of him. No. It was more than that. It was physically warmer. She glanced down at her hand, seeing it aflame.
Marie had risen from her bed, screaming and shaking her hand. Below she heard her mother clambering up the stairs. She ran towards the stairs, seeing her mother beginning to climb. Her mother had a look of shock on her face.
"In the water!" Marie had followed her instruction, dousing her hand in the fire. They sat there in silence, Marie to shocked to speak. "I was afraid this would happen." Her mom muttered.
"What would happen?" Marie asked.
"Your hand."
"You knew?" Marie asked, shocked. "Why didn't you tell me!?"
"I didn't think you were ready." Her mom said quietly.
"DIDN'T THINK I WAS READY?" Marie exclaimed. The dam broke, releasing all the emotions. "Mother! I am 16, almost ready to marry! You don't tell me about father! You don't tell me about the money! You don't tell me anything! And I am done with it!"
She turned, marching towards the door.
"Marie! Wait!" Her mother yelled, but it was to late. She pushed open the door, stepping out into the raining night. She didn't care where she went. Just not home, not for now. The door swung closed behind and she began to walk, the rain beginning to soak her. Anger filled her at her mother, at life, at the flames on her hand. The rain was soaking her, making it even worse. Suddenly something touched her shoulders, a fine black leather cape with silver buckles hanging and protecting her from the rain. Marie looked around in surprise, trying to see who had done this. Yet no matter where she looked there was no one. This day was getting worse and worse. She hung her head and walked to the tavern.

The door to the tavern opened, Marie walking in. Damien's heart raced at the thought. Giaus looked over, smiling at him. He was probably right, Damien should get it over now. Something was odd, Marie was wearing black leather cape, the kind that rich people wore with silver buckles and all. She hung it on the rack, not carrying about it. With that done she moved over to a table, sitting down, her hair dripping. Damien felt like it was now over never. He slowly got off his stool, ready to move over.

Noel was staying inside in the rainstorm like most of the people in the town. They were looking out the window, trying to distract themself from the lack of food they had. Those damn people, making sure I get nothing. Noel thought angrily. They pretty much hated the town but they couldn't leave. As Noel was looking out their window they saw a girl walking with a strange looking cape on her. What the hell? Noel thought as they looked on. The cape was in a strange shape, looking almost like a bat. The girl looked very sad and Noel almost felt complied to check on her. But of course, she would probably recoil in horror in the sight of Noel and make a big deal out of it and Noel wasn't in the mood to be harassed and had death threats thrown at them again. So they just let the strange cloaked girl pass, wondering where she was off to.

Revolt of the Dawn Empty Re: Revolt of the Dawn

Keldrim watched the town from the battlements. "Aww humans. How I hate you so. Let me count the ways," He said wistfully to himself with a chuckle. He couldn't actually count that high. He had tried. He held up the trophy he had taken from his most recent kill. It was a nice necklace, and Keldrim contemplating putting it on, but decided better of it, and instead took flight with a single flap of his gargantuan wings. Once he felt himself falling he again extended them like a parachute and angled himself towards the see, gliding downwards. Once he had gone past the cliff he maneuvered to his secret vault. He had made sure to place it in an area that only he would be able to access, and just in case, placed traps and wards along every inch of flooring and walls. They did not trigger for him, but most people would be impaled several times as well as a few incinerations or utter destruction via black magic. It was close enough to the sea that at high tide, and a water walking spell, you could almost climb onto the ledge. Inside, Keldrim walked calmly to the vault. The main reason he hated humans so much was because of their fear of anything... superior. Anyone of magical potential was usually burned, strangling their last hope against the shadows. Keldrim chuckled as he strode through the door calmly, even if they had a mage, they would not be able to stop him, being a warlock of incredible power that he was, with allies that were even more so. Not for long though, Keldrim thought as he tossed his new trinket into an ever growing pile of small objects found on bodies of the fallen. The right opportunity was all Keldrim needed, for Baron Mortis, to meet an unfortunate end.

Revolt of the Dawn Empty Re: Revolt of the Dawn

Post  Ryory4 Sat Nov 15, 2014 2:58 pm

Marie sat down at the table, happy to be out of that rain. She had hung the cape on the hook, not caring about it anymore. She didn't care about anything anymore, that cape wasn't even hers. It had just appeared out of the thin air. Damien suddenly swooped in, sitting down across from her.
"Hey Marie." He said, smiling. She tried to stay miserable but she couldn't. Not with him around.
"Hi Damien, how are you?" She asked, beginning to smile.
"Yeah, I'm g-" He took a deep breath before speaking. "Marie, will you be my wife?"
A sense of joy went through Marie, expelling any negative thoughts she had before. She forgot about the argument with her mother, her life, just joyful he had finally asked. Marie had thought he would, however she wasn't sure, he also did spend time with Anna.
Damien was relieved to finally speak, to ask her the question. Now was the suspenseful part. She was smiling and looked very happy, he assumed it would be a yes, however he wasn't sure. Women could be strange, enigmatic creatures at times.
"Yes."

Marie was happy. It was morning, the sun was shinning, she had just left the tavern. Damien and her had gotten a room with some of the money he had. He had left a bit earlier, bringing breakfast he brought up to her before leaving, needing to inform his mother. Marie walked down the street, smiling, hearing the sounds of the town waking up around her.
"You!" A harsh voice called. Marie turned, seeing one of the Baron's servants. They all rode black horses, wearing their black robes and cloaks. All of the servants had black hoods over their face, no one having actually seen under one. "Come here!"
"Of course." Marie said, trying to look humble. As servants of the Baron she was under these hooded figures, having to do as they asked.
"You are coming with me." The figure pointed to the saddle in front of him with his gauntlet.
"W-what have I done?" She asked, shaking in fear. Marie couldn't think of any crime she had committed. Nothing she had done would be illegal. And on the day after becoming engaged.
"Lord Mortas wishes your presence." He said, suddenly gripping the handle of his sword. "Now mount."
Seeing no other alternative Marie mounted in front of him, his looming figure right behind her. With a flick of the reigns they were off, headed towards Sobre Chateau.
